Terms of Use

Last Updated: July 18, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading or using My LifeVault (the "App"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you must uninstall and discontinue using the App immediately.

2. User Responsibility & Backups

My LifeVault operates 100% locally on your device. We do not host your database or files in the cloud. As a result:

  • You are solely responsible for creating regular secure database backups (exported `.lvvault` files) and saving them in safe secondary locations (like a PC or cloud storage folder).
  • If your device is lost, damaged, or wiped, and you have not created backups, your cataloged information will be permanently unrecoverable.
  • We have zero access to your database passwords or PIN codes. If you forget them, we cannot retrieve them.

3. Intellectual Property

The App, its source code, assets, website graphics, layouts, and logos are the property of My LifeVault. You may not decompile, reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the App's binaries or files without our explicit written permission.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

My LifeVault is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to suitability, accuracy of OCR scans, reliability of local notifications, or safety of files. While we employ industry-standard encryption, local security ultimately relies on your device operating system integrity, local malware presence, and password strength.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall My LifeVault or its developers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from data loss, database corruption, failure of expiry reminders, device failure, or theft.
